These terms govern use of the Internet forum at https://iitians.in. To use the forum, you must agree to these terms with Phantix AI Pvt Ltd, the company that runs the forum.

The company may offer other products and services under different terms. These terms apply only to use of the forum.

Important Terms

These terms include provisions that affect your rights and responsibilities, including disclaimers, limits on the company’s liability, your agreement to cover the company for damages caused by your misuse of the forum, and an agreement to arbitrate disputes.

Your Permission to Use the Forum

Subject to these terms, the company gives you permission to use the forum. Everyone must agree to these terms to use the forum.

Conditions for Use of the Forum

Your permission to use the forum is subject to the following conditions:

  • You must be at least thirteen years old.

  • You may no longer use the forum if the company contacts you directly to say that you may not.

  • You must use the forum in accordance with Acceptable Use and Content Standards below.

Acceptable Use

  • You may not break the law using the forum.

  • You may not use or attempt to use another member’s account without their specific permission.

  • You may not buy, sell, or trade in usernames or other unique identifiers on the forum.

  • You may not send advertisements, chain letters, or other unsolicited solicitations through the forum, or use the forum to gather personal data for commercial mailing lists or databases.

  • You may not automate access to the forum or monitor it using web crawlers, browser plug-ins, or any computer program that is not a standard web browser — except to index it for a publicly available search engine.

  • You may not use the forum to send emails to distribution lists, newsgroups, or group mail aliases.

  • You may not falsely imply that you are affiliated with or endorsed by Phantix AI Pvt Ltd, any IIT campus, or the IITians community forum.

  • You may not hyperlink to images or non-hypertext content on the forum from other websites.

  • You may not remove proprietary ownership marks from materials downloaded from the forum.

  • You may not display any part of the forum on other websites using <iframe>.

  • You may not disable, circumvent, or bypass any security or access restrictions of the forum.

  • You may not impose an unreasonable load on the forum’s infrastructure through excessive or automated requests.

  • You may not impersonate other members, IIT alumni, faculty, or staff of Phantix AI Pvt Ltd.

  • You may not encourage or assist anyone in violating these terms.

Content Standards

  • You may not submit content that is illegal, offensive, harassing, abusive, hateful, or otherwise harmful to others.

  • You may not submit content that violates any law, infringes intellectual property rights, violates anyone’s privacy, or breaches agreements you hold with others.

  • You may not submit content containing malicious code such as viruses or spyware.

  • You may not submit placeholder content to hold a username, address, or unique identifier.

  • You may not disclose confidential or personal information of others that you do not have the right to share.

  • You may not post content that promotes inter-IIT campus rivalry, branch elitism, caste-based discrimination, religious hatred, or regional bias within the IITian community.

  • You may not share confidential research, proprietary academic work, or insider institutional information without appropriate authorization.

Enforcement

The company may investigate and prosecute violations of these terms to the fullest legal extent. The company may notify and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in prosecuting violations of applicable law.

The company reserves the right to change, redact, and delete any content on the forum for any reason. If you believe someone has submitted content in violation of these terms, contact us immediately at support@iitians.in.

Your Account

You must create and log into an account to use certain features of the forum.

To create an account, you must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date. You may close your account at any time by visiting account preferences.

You are responsible for all actions taken using your account, whether authorized by you or not, until you close your account or notify the company of a compromise. You agree to maintain a secure password and keep it confidential.

The company may restrict, suspend, or close your account if it reasonably believes you have violated any provision of these terms, or pursuant to its policy for handling copyright-related takedown requests.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all intellectual property you submit to the forum. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your content to the company, nor does it grant you ownership of the company’s intellectual property.

By submitting content to the forum, you grant the company a license to copy, publish, and analyze that content for the purpose of operating the forum. This license ends when your content is fully removed from all backups and caches.

You remain solely responsible for content you submit. The company is not obligated to store, maintain, or provide copies of your content.

Your Responsibility

You agree to indemnify Phantix AI Pvt Ltd from legal claims arising from your breach of these terms or breaches made by others using your account. Both parties agree to promptly notify the other of any such legal claims. The company agrees not to enter into any settlement that admits fault on your behalf without your prior consent.

Disclaimers

You accept all risk of using the forum and its content. The company and its suppliers provide the forum as is, without any warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The forum may link to or integrate third-party services. The company makes no warranties about those services, which may be governed by their own separate terms.

Limits on Liability

Neither the company nor its suppliers will be liable for breach-of-contract damages that could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time you agreed to these terms.

Feedback

The company welcomes your feedback and suggestions. You agree that the company may act on any feedback you provide without obligation to notify you, seek your permission, or compensate you. Do not submit feedback you consider confidential or proprietary.

Termination

Either you or the company may end this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your permission to use the forum ends. The following provisions survive termination: Your Content, Feedback, Your Responsibility, Disclaimers, Limits on Liability, and General Terms.

General Terms

If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or removed if it cannot be modified.

You may not assign your agreement with the company. The company may assign this agreement to any affiliate or successor entity.

These terms represent the entire agreement between you and the company regarding use of the forum and replace all prior agreements.

These terms were last updated May 2026. The company may update these terms at any time and will post all updates to the forum.
